Wasatch Academy is proud to call the breathtaking city of Mt. Pleasant home. The unique landscape makes our academy stand out from other private boarding schools. Students from all over the world can make Mt. Pleasant their home too.
For the high school-aged student, taking a break from the stress of school is necessary. The Coffee House on campus is a great place to start but there are plenty of other places that can help students meet their social needs. When looking for adventure in the town of Mount Pleasant, there are a few places that never fail in keeping things interesting.
Fun Around the City
One of the most recent developments in Mount Pleasant is our splash pad. This all ages’ attraction is the perfect excuse to kick off your shoes and cool off on even the toastiest summer day.
While it isn’t an entire aquatic center yet, this attraction is an adventure for young soul in all of us. The only rule for this main street attraction is to keep dogs and skateboards off.
Perhaps you don’t want to get your hair wet. Students at Wasatch Academy have access to some of the greatest ice cream shops in the state to help keep them cool. Rodger’s Dairy Freeze is a local favorite that’s been churning out greatness since they opened.
Students from private boarding schools across the nation have reason to be jealous. Whether you’re looking for a full meal or a simple snack, their hand mixed shakes will turn any day into a celebration.
The Great Outdoors
At Wasatch Academy, we encourage our students to enjoy the wildlife around them. By disconnecting from computers, our students get something you don’t find at all private boarding schools.
A simple walk off campus brings you into remote locations for fishing, hiking, biking and camping. Our students can draw inspiration and adventure from their own backyard.
