Wasatch Academy students presented the beautifully remastered musical, Working. The play was originally written and performed in 1977 as a look into the average American’s life. This pivotal musical was brought to life by the various students who took to their roles with true relish, whether it be an elderly school teacher, a truck driver, a businesswoman, or a phone operator. The songs such as “It’s an Art”, performed by Micah Inglish, or “Fathers and Sons”, sung by Corey Lawrence, were beautifully performed and helped flush out the characters to create an engaging storyline that anyone could relate to.
Directed by Mr. Matt Schukis, the well-known music teacher of Wasatch Academy, devoted students such as Frankie Sobel, Aijalon Oliver, and Ethan Lee pulled together a touching and eye-opening performance that made the audience both ache for the hardship and revel in the resiliency of the original American dream.
