Kicking off its 144th academic year, Wasatch Academy welcomed 286 students. “Our mission to prepare students for today’s fast-changing world is not something we take lightly. We are pleased that so many students chose to come to Wasatch Academy to take advantage of our school’s remarkable academic programs, outstanding facilities, and talented, dedicated faculty and staff,” said Joseph Loftin, Wasatch Academy Head of School.
Students, many accompanied by their parents, arrived on September 3rd eager to see and meet new and old friends. The friendship circle, a longstanding tradition on the first day of school, gave every faculty, staff, and student the opportunity to greet and meet each other.
Students attending Wasatch Academy come from all over the United States as well as over 30 countries. ”The ability to work and collaborate with a diverse group of people, all possessing different skills and strengths, provides a platform for different ideas, but also to find common ground,” remarked Joseph Loftin, during orientation. “Students and faculty from so many parts of the world, coming together as one family, inspires everyone in our school community.”
