Wasatch Academy has done it again! For the seventh year in a row, Utah’s oldest secondary school (circa 1875) has been designated the top private school (K-12) in the state.
In fact, Wasatch Academy swept the 2016 competition, taking Best of State awards in three categories: for Best Private School K-12, for Principal of the Year, and for Educational Institution or Service.
Recognized for the quality of its outstanding educational programs with the Best of State gold medal for the past seven consecutive years, Wasatch Academy is Utah’s only college preparatory boarding school and maintains a 100% college placement rate. Head of School Joseph Loftin has been honored for his leadership with the Principal of the Year award, recognizing his 28 years of dedicated service as head of this venerable school. Wasatch Academy also received the Best of State medal for an Educational Institution or Service, having emerged as a global leader in pioneering dual diploma programs worldwide in partnership with other renowned international schools. Wasatch Academy proudly celebrates diversity, maintaining a student body from nearly 40 countries and 30 American states. Head of School Joseph Loftin will accept the awards in person at the formal Best of State award ceremony on May 18, 2016.
