Will Austin, a native of Sanpete Valley, is the son of Luke and Mitzi Austin. Will received a B.A. in Physics from the University of Montana. While in school, Will contributed to the BOREALIS stratospheric ballooning program, conducted stellarator plasma physics research for the Department of Energy, and was president of the University's Society of Physics Students, where he helped lead a trip to the Laser Interferometer Gravitational-Wave Observatory (LIGO) in Washington. Will was a university physics/mathematics tutor for three years and Astronomy/Physics lab instructor for two years.
Will is currently an intern for the Outdoor Recreation Program under Ryan Anderson, where he assists in coordinating outdoor recreation trips and maintenance of outdoor equipment. He also works as a Learning Coach for the Learning Center, assisting students in developing executive function (EF) and social-emotional learning (SEL) skills.
In his free time, Will enjoys hiking, skiing, backpacking, skydiving, emulating retro video games, and creating YouTube videos.
