The boarding school experience is embedded within the path to self-discovery.

Wasatch Academy’s residential community is the optimal atmosphere for an unmatched educational experience, centered around individual learning and global citizenship.

Situated on Wasatch Academy’s 35-acre campus, our students and faculty thrive together in an environment that promotes a unified common experience and timeless relationships — cultivating a lifelong sense of respect and acceptance for fellow peers and mentors.

Why boarding school?

The Essentials

  • Our dorms are safe and welcoming environments where every person feels included and accepted. Full-time dorm parents support students as they navigate adolescence and create a home within our campus community.

Located in one of the safest places in the United States and the world, our residential community with five dorms (three for boys and two for girls) soon becomes home, a place where students, dorm parents, and faculty celebrate milestones like birthdays and offer each other insights from unique life experiences and ideas.

As students bond with one another and their mentors, they foster an appreciation for diverse perspectives, cultures and ideas.

  • Wasatch Academy’s Advisory Program cultivates a supportive learning environment by encouraging an overarching culture of care and respect. We assign each student an advisor to provide academic, social and personal guidance.

Advisors act as the central link between the school and the family, initially communicating with parents once a week for the first month of classes followed by monthly contact for the rest of the academic year.

Our advisors meet with advisees twice a week to help them navigate our learning community and help bridge the gap between home and our students’ new life in Mount Pleasant — working to help them accomplish their goals and preparing them for success in college and in life.

  • The health and safety of our students is our No. 1 priority.

    • Through recreational opportunities both on and off-campus, students develop lifelong habits in fitness and teamwork.

    • Through dorm parents, counselors, and teacher collaboration, students receive layers of academic and social support.

    • Through our Wellness Center, students access full-time and on-call nurse practitioners and medical personnel.
